Solar Photovoltaic at VKV Kallubalu

As a step towards energy self sufficiency, Solar Photovoltaic System is installed on the rooftop of the Teachers Quarters. The capacity of the solar PV is ___kW and can generate electricity equivalent for ___houses. We will be ever grateful to ______ for designing and installing the Solar Unit in our campus.

The Solar Unit has made our school for a consumer of power to producer of power. We are now able to sell the excess electricity generated to Bescom!

Rain Water Harvesting

At VKV, Kallubalu, we put our sincere efforts to take care of mother earth. The natural water from rain is harvesting and collected in the water tanks and utilized within the school. Nearly 2,00,000 litres of water is collected in the tanks, which would have got wasted without the rain water harvesting system. This has become a great water source for us and has reduced the consumption of water from outside to bare minimum.                                                                     नदी तापविनाशाय पापानां हरणाय च । संसारदुःखनाशाय पुज्यते सर्वजन्तुभिः ॥

Teachers Quarters

Accommodation is provided for teachers within the campus. Each house has all the amenities needed for a family. It is a harmonious atmosphere for our teachers and their families. All our teachers enjoy the feeling of oneness that develops by living as a close knit extended family. वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् is truly experienced and imbibed here.

Library

There are around 7000 books are there in our library. Our library starts at 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We have many kinds of books such as Mythological, Mathematics, Science, Computer Science books are there in our library. We are managing library records digitally in the system. 

Ganesha & Hanuman Temple

Ganesha and Hanuman temple is located near the entrance of the school. Every Saturday one class take responsibility of pooja. They contribute and distribute the Prasada after pooja. Students do Abhisheka and Pooja of Lord Ganesh and Lord Hanuman. During Pooja students chant Shlokas,Hanuman Chalisa and Bhajan. We celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi and Hanuman Jayanti with lot of devotion and fervor.
